چکیده

Mobility management is a major challenge for millimeter-wave (mmWave) cellular networks. In particular, directional beamforming in mmWave devices renders high-speed mobility support very complex. This complexity, however, not limited to system design but also the performance estimation and evaluation. Hence, some have turned their attention stochastic modeling of vehicular communication derive closed-form expressions that can characterize coverage rate behavior network. this article, we model analyze beam To best our knowledge, first work goes beyond analysis. Specifically, focus on multi-lane divided highway scenario which base stations vehicles are present both sides highway. addition providing analytical average number switching handover events, provide insights operators fine-tune network through more informed choice parameters, including resources dedicated channel feedback alignment operations.

Stochastic geometry modeling and performance evaluation of mmWave cellular communications

Abstract— In this paper, a new mathematical framework to the analysis of millimeter wave cellular networks is introduced. Its peculiarity lies in considering realistic path-loss and blockage models, which are derived from experimental data recently reported in the literature. The path-loss model accounts for different distributions for line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight propagation conditions ...

Modeling Mobile Agents in Vehicular Networks

Vehicular networks (VANETs) are mobile ad hoc networks where vehicles that are near each other can exchange data by using wireless communications. Advances in mobile communication technologies have spurred significant research in the exploitation of these types of networks to develop different kinds of data services for drivers. However, these networks are also highly-dynamic and several data m...

Stochastic analysis of Aloha in vehicular ad hoc networks

The aim of this paper is to study the Aloha medium access (MAC) scheme in one-dimensional, linear networks, which might be an appropriate assumption for Vehicular Ad-hoc NETworks (VANETs). We study performance metrics based on the signal-over-interference and noise ratio (SINR) assuming power-law mean path-loss and independent point-to-point fading. We derive closed formulas for the capture pro...
